A latex cast of a female body, cut into a thin strip and rolled into a ball of yarn — skin reduced to a thread, ready to be worked like raw material, one common object among many others. What should be the most intimate boundary of a body is cut, unwound, made anonymous.
But that anonymity never fully succeeds. Among the coils of the ball, fingers, nipples, the pores of the skin are still visible — details that resist being reduced to mere material, that keep declaring a body, a story, a precise identity despite the attempt to erase it. As in the violence it has suffered, the female body is treated as an available, interchangeable object — and yet that same violence never truly manages to depersonalize it completely: what it was before becoming an object always remains visible, just beneath the surface.
